Permanent markers can be used to indicate poles on cross-connectors. ## **Lockable Plug** Extra optional locks **guarantee** your circuits connection against excessive vibrations. Sockets can be removed from terminals by simply pushing the clip upwards. ## **Wire Assembly for Terminals** Wires can be assembled **quickly** and easily by opening the spring cage with the suitable screwdriver. ## **Cable Tie Mount** You can use a cable tie to hold all cables together, **neatly** assembled to the socket by using a cable tie mount. ## **Pin Coding** **Enhance** your service and maintenance operations by preventing any misconnections. By using pin coding, you can match the right plugs and sockets. 3 ## **Overview** IMO’s new SCP Terminal Blocks are an innovative development for wire connection, offering a new Plug-In solution for signal, controls and power circuits in a modular and speedy manner, utilising plugs and sockets. IMO SCP terminals and plugs have a nominal current of 25A and a nominal voltage of 500VAC thanks to their powerful plug-in contact, making them suitable for use in most applications and are 100% reliable every time. The SCP range offers plug-in versions with spring clamp connection and are complimented by a range of accessories. Specifically developed for quick and easy connection and disconnection, enabling maintenance or service staff to carry out installation, replacement and testing with minimum effort in a timely fashion. In fact, when comparing the time required to wire traditional screw clamp DIN Rail terminals, SCP can save as much as 70% wiring time. As time equals money, the time savings add up to considerable cost savings too. As with all IMO products, the SCP range has been designed to the highest quality standards, using only quality materials, providing maximum safety thanks to their touch-proof design, vibration resistance, and protection from misconnection thanks to code options and locks which ensure the user matches the right plugs to the right sockets. The SCP range also offers a new level of flexibility, allowing the user to construct customised sets based on individual plugs and sockets, all of which can be purchased separately. SCP cross connectors have also been specifically designed with flexibility in mind, and can fit both plugs and terminals, while users will also find that the marking options available are just as purposeful, allowing use of a wide range of marking options, including strip labels and marking tags for appropriate marking of the terminal block set. **DIN Rail Mount Free Mount** **Hole Mount** ## **Spring Clamp System** ## **Material Properties** All metal parts of the spring clamp terminal blocks are made from non corroding materials. The conductive parts are made of plated high grade copper alloy giving excellent contact resistance. The contact force of the spring clamp connection is applied by a spring element made from high-strength metal. The insulating housing of the spring clamp terminal blocks is made from recyclable PA 6.6 offering high impact strength and UV-resistance. Further characteristics include the good tropical and termite resistance, high chemical resistance, and excellent aging characteristics. Polyamide 6.6 has an operating temperature of up to 100°C and is certified for flammability rating V2 according to UL 94. ## **Connection Principle** Spring Clamp terminal blocks have been developed for universal spring-loaded conductor contacting. The contact force is independent of the user and creates a vibration-proof connection with long-term stability. The terminal point is opened with a standard screwdriver. After the conductor has been inserted into the clamping space, the screwdriver is removed and the conductor automatically makes contact. The terminal and plug operation offers easy single plane connection i.e., the conductor and screwdriver come in parallel from the same direction.
