The devices are compensated and calibrated per the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) guidelines for industry acceptability. The sensors integrate a high-performance, pressure sensor die with temperature compensation circuitry and gel protection in a small, low-cost package. The NPC-100 and NPC-120 Series are manufactured in a class 1000 clean-room to minimize possible sources of contamination. A specially designed silicon micromachined sensing element is used to meet or exceed all industry requirements while minimizing assembly and test cost for maximum customer value. Thick-film laser-trimming is employed for final compensation and calibration. Sensitivity is maintained to ±1% and linearity is better than 1% in the physiological operating pressure range. The NPC-100 and NPC-120 Series are batchmanufactured in ceramic plate form and shipped as an intact array or in Tape and Reel for easy customer automation. This assembly method draws from wellestablished manufacturing techniques used in the electronics industry in order to produce a quality, high volume product. |Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate|Gel Tube Interface
Material
Polycarbonate| |---|---|---|---|---|---|---| |**Parameter**
**Units**
**Minimum**
**Type**
**Maximum**
**Notes**
**Performance Parameters***
Offset
mmHg
–25
0
25
Sensitivity
µV/V/mmHg
4.95
5
5.05
Calibration
mmHg
97.5
100
102.5
2
~~hie~~||||||| ||Symmetry|%|—|—|±5|| ||Linearity (–30 to 100 mmHg)
Linearity (100 to 200 mmHg)
Linearity (200 to 300 mmHg)
Thermal Coefficient Offset
Thermal Coefficient Span
Frequency Response
Phase Shift
Offset Drift|mmHg
% output
% output
mmHg/°C
%/°C
Hz
degrees
mmHg/8 hrs|—
—
—
—
—
1200
—
—|—
—
—
—
—
—
—
—|1
1
1.5
±0.3
±0.1
—
5
1|6
6
6
3
3
5
5
4,5| **==> picture [505 x 322] intentionally omitted <==** **----- Start of picture text -----**
0.0875 in to 0.0905 in (5.99 mm to 6.25 mm) 0.236 in to 0.246 in Linearity (–30 to 100 mmHg) mmHg — — 1
(2.22 mm to 2.30 mm)
Linearity (100 to 200 mmHg) % output — — 1
0.049 in to 0.052 in
(1.24 mm to 1.32 mm) Linearity (200 to 300 mmHg) % output — — 1.5
0.189 in to 0.192 in Thermal Coefficient Offset mmHg/°C — — ±0.3
(4.80 mm to 4.88 mm) Thermal Coefficient Span %/°C — — ±0.1
Frequency Response Hz 1200 — —
Radius 0.005 in
(0.13 mm) maximum Phase Shift degrees — — 5
ie 7 Offset Drift mmHg/8 hrs — — 1
0.142 in to 0.145 in
(3.61 mm to 3.68 mm) * 1.
