## _For use with C-mount lenses_ 

The FLTI850 filter is designed for the C-mount lenses used with Banner vision sensors. It improves image quantity by reducing unwanted ambient light. The FLTI850 is a glass filter which provides a greater transmission percentage for a narrower band than the FLTI or other plastic filters. Infrared light passes through the filter, while visible light is blocked.

## **Installing the Filter** 

Use the following instructions to install the filter behind the camera lens on the sensor. 

1. Remove the lens from the sensor. 

2. Carefully place the filter in the sensor, as shown, and make sure it is fully seated. 

**NOTE:** Avoid fingerprints on the filter. If necessary, carefully clean the filter with lens cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.

3. Place the two posts on the supplied retainer ring tool into the two holes on the retainer ring. 

4. Using the retainer ring tool, thread the retainer ring into the sensor until it firmly seats the filter. 

5. Remove the retainer ring tool. 

6. Re-install the lens on the sensor.
