## **Adjustment Guide** 

The environments in which capacitive sensors are installed can often be un stable regarding temperature, humi dity , object distance and industrial (noise) interference. Because of this, Carlo Ga vazzi offers as standard features in all _TRIP LESHIELD_ ™ capacitive sensors a user-friendly sensitivity adjustment instead of having a fixed sensing range, extend ed sen sing range to 

accommodate mechanically demand ing are as, temperature stability to en sure minimum need for adjusting sensitivity if temperature varies and high immunity to elec tro magnetic interference (EMI). 

## **Note:** 

Sensors are factory set (default) to maximum rated sensing range.

Capacitive sensors have the unique ability to detect almost all materials, either in li quid or solid form. Capaci tive sensors can detect metallic as well as non-metallic ob jects, how ever, their traditional use is for non-metallic materials such as:
