November 7, 2025 ## Information Note **Updated IEC standard for EMI capacitors** An update of the IEC 60384-14:2023 ed. 5.0 for EMI capacitors includes a change to a more robust damp heat steady state qualification test - from 56 days / +40 °C / 93% RH without rated voltage - to 21 days / +40 °C / 93% RH with rated voltage applied. In order to pass this stricter test, the affected series must undergo technical modifications.
