Hi h Current Fuses g ## ZCASE Single MEGA/Starter Fuse The Single ZCASE is a Minimal Footprint Bolt Down Fuse with a wide rating range up to 600A in the same packaging size. The Time Current characteristic is similar to the well known MEGA Design and can used as full wire protection until 250A. Higher ratings mostly used for typically Starter Fuse application as a protector fuse. The fuse design is optimized for a one bolt connection M6 (40A - 250A) or M8 (300A - 600A) and can used directly on a battery post or busbar connection. Littelfuse is offering a complete solution for the necessary stud and different busbar connections including some battery clamps. ## Specifications ZCASE Single Mega/Starter Fuse ## Time-Current Characteristic Curves See note on next page regarding Test Set-Up **==> picture [140 x 431] intentionally omitted <==** **----- Start of picture text -----**
10000
1000
10010 it
1
0.1
0.01
10 100 1000 10000
CURRENT [A]
10000
1000
100
10
1
0.1
0.01
10 100 1000 10000
CURRENT [A]
REV07272021
40A 60A 80A 100A 125A 150A 175A 200A 225A 250A
TIME [s]
300A 350A 400A 450A 500A
TIME [s]
**----- End of picture text -----**
Voltage Rating: Interrupting Rating: Recommended Environmental Temperature: Terminal Material: Housing Material: Insulating Tube: Mounting Torque M6: Mounting Torque M8: 32V DC 2000A @ 32V VDC -40 to 125°C Tin plated Copper PPA-GF33HS (U.L. 94 Flammability rating - HB) Out of ceramic 9.8Nm±1.4Nm 14Nm±2Nm ## Ordering Information ## Time-Current Characteristics |**% of**
**Rating**
50
100
135
200
350
500
600|**Opening Time Min / Max (s)**
**40A - 250A**
**300A - 500A**
**600A**
– / –
14,400 /∞
14,400 /∞
14,400 /∞
– / –
– / –
120 / 1800
– / –
– / –
1 / 15
1 / 40
1 / 40
0.3 / 5
0.3 / 5
0.3 / 5
– / –
– / –
0.1 / 1
0.1 / 1
0.1 / 1
– / –| |---|---| |**Part Number**
3298XXX.ZXSTA
3298XXX.Z
3298XXX.H|**Rating**
300 - 600
40 - 250 SHUNT
40 - 600|**Package**
**Size**
480
480
100| |---|---|---| ## Ratings |**Part number**
3298040.Z / 3298040.H
3298060.Z / 3298060.H
3298080.Z / 3298080.H
3298100.Z / 3298100.H
3298125.Z / 3298125.H
3298150.Z / 3298150.H
3298175.Z / 3298175.H
3298200.Z / 3298200.H
3298225.Z / 3298225.H
3298250.Z / 3298250.H|**Current**
**Rating (A)**
40
60
80
100
125
150
175
200
225
250|**Test Cable**
**Size (mm2)**
4
6
10
16
16
25
25
35
35
50|**Typ. Founded in 1927 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Littelfuse is a premier global manufacturer of circuit protection, power control, and sensing technologies. Widely recognized for pioneering the first small, fast-acting protective fuse, the company has grown into an industry leader whose highly reliable components are essential to modern industrial, transportation, and consumer electronics applications worldwide. At the core of the Littelfuse portfolio is an expansive and industry-leading range of circuit protection solutions. This encompasses a massive selection of traditional fuses, fuse holders, and resettable PTC thermistor fuses designed to safely interrupt overcurrent conditions. To defend against electrical overstress, Littelfuse also provides advanced transient voltage suppression (TVS) technologies, including thousands of specialized TVS diodes, TVS varistors, and gas discharge tubes (GDTs) that ensure robust defense against voltage spikes and environmental hazards. Beyond its foundational protection components, Littelfuse manufactures a diverse array of discrete semiconductors, sensors, and switching devices. Engineers rely on their high-performance thyristors, including TRIACs and SCRs, alongside power-efficient Schottky diodes and MOSFETs for demanding power control applications. Complemented by precision proximity sensors and highly reliable reed and solid-state relays, Littelfuse delivers the critical building blocks required for secure, efficient, and complete system design.
