Mylar has communicated that they expect this facility to continue operating until mid-2025 and have requested that final orders be placed no later than February 28th, 2025. Many of Yageo Polyester (PET) and Polyethylene Naphthalate (PEN) Film Capacitors series (detailed list attached) will be affected by the Mylar line 5 shut down, which is the supplier of all these series. Yageo is fully committed to supporting all its valued customers by taking all necessary actions to limit the impact of this unexpected situation. Yageo has reacted immediately and is working to place the last order to cover the time needed to search and qualify alternative suppliers. To support this action Yageo kindly requires customers to provide reliable visibility through an order or a binding forecast for the next 18 to 24 months. This commitment is required by February 20th, 2025 to secure the necessary quantities to cover all deliveries after the closure of Mylar Line 5.
