## Description

The Pepperl+Fuchs NBB2-12GM50-E0 is an inductive proximity sensor utilizing an electromagnetic oscillation topology to detect ferrous and non-ferrous metal targets without physical contact. Engineered with a flush-mountable design, this sensor features a rated operating distance ($s_n$) of 2 mm and an assured operating range of 0 to 1.62 mm. The unit incorporates material reduction factors of 0.3 for aluminum, 0.2 for copper, and 0.7 for stainless steel (304), allowing consistent operational performance across varying metallic surfaces. 

Housed in a metric M12 x 1 threaded nickel-plated brass barrel with a PBT sensing face, the sensor is rated to IP67 ingress protection, ensuring reliable deployment in demanding industrial environments. It operates across a DC supply voltage range of 10 V to 30 V, supporting a maximum switching frequency of 1500 Hz with an operating current capacity up to 200 mA. The electrical architecture includes an NPN normally open (NO) output configuration, featuring built-in reverse polarity protection and pulsing short-circuit protection, alongside a maximum voltage drop of $\le$3 V and a typical no-load supply current of $\le$17 mA. 

Terminated via an integrated 2-meter PVC cable with a 0.14 mm² core cross-section, the NBB2-12GM50-E0 is designed for industrial automation, machine control, and factory floor position sensing. It complies with EN/IEC 60947-5-2 standards and carries cULus and cCSAus general-purpose listings. Operating within an ambient temperature range of -25 °C to 70 °C, the assembly includes two self-locking nuts for secure panel or bracket mounting, such as the optional BF 12 mounting flange or EXG-12 quick-mounting bracket.
