## **Description of Change:**
The TeSys contactor (D & N), overload relay (LR) and manual motor controller (GV) offers, along with common accessories, will be incorporating several new features while maintain the same respective part numbers. These features include:
- A new range name that better identifies size and function (See transition tool for details)
- A new sleek dark-gray color with a more modern look and feel
- New environmentally friendly packaging consisting of recycled carton, lead-free ink and eradicating plastic
- Enhanced fire resistance plastics in compliance with EN60335-1 for contactors
- A new multi-standard screw (devices up to 32 amps) compliant with flat, Philips and Pozidriv drivers
- A new front mount auxiliary contact rated 17V/1mA, with enhanced resistance to dust
- A QR code on contactors and manual motor controllers for quick access to product documents and information via a mobile device.
Production for wave 1 (0 to 65 amps totaling 2,265 SKUs) is planned to begin in September 2021. We expect to begin to see this new dark gray color product in the US as early as late October for MTO product. US warehouse inventory for MTS products is expected to transition to the new dark gray color in December 2021 or possibly later. A second wave including TeSys 80 to 150 amps and TeSys Micra (formerly TeSys K) is planned to start production in December 2021. Another CN info announcement will be provided in the future with actual timelines and additional details.
The part numbers will remain the same as the existing offer. This makes the transition easier for customers to use the new look offer without having to change bill of materials or upload new part numbers into their MRP systems. The overall product dimensions will not change during the transition. The product will also retain the same UL ratings and approvals during the transition. Devices and accessories will also be compatible from the old design to the new and vice versa.
To avoid a prolonged inventory transition period, Schneider Electric will not accept returns of the product of the older color. Channel partners should proactively inform customers of the upcoming transition, discuss the customers product needs and timing, and locally manage color mixes for customers as necessary. The old/new product can easily be identified by the visibly different product packaging color.
