Introduction of new carrier tape material
**Information Notification** ~~Ce~~ A new core material for carrier tapes for the packages SOT89 and SOT223 will be introduced as second source: Polycarbonate (PC) instead of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). The cover tape material will remain unchanged.
The new core material does not impact the handling of the carrier tape nor the peel off force/behavior of the cover tape. The pick and place behavior will not change. The visual appearance, dimension and electrical performance of the packed devices are not influenced by this change. For details please refer to attached Information package.
**Why do we issue this Information Notification** Supply safety for carrier tapes. PC has better mechanical properties compared to ABS. **Identification of Affected Products** Product identification does not change

The current carrier tape material will remain released.
