## **Introduction of new carrier tape material in SOT23** ~~ee~~ **Notification information** ~~ee~~ 

A new surface material for carrier tapes for the package SOT23 will be introduced as second source: Polystyrene (PS) in addition to Polycarbonate (PC). The cover tape material will remain unchanged. 

Polystyrene is already used for carrier tape surface material for other packages within Nexperia. The surface material does not impact the handling of the carrier tape nor the peel off force/behavior of the cover tape. The pick and place behavior will not change. The visual appearance, dimension and electrical performance of the packed devices are not influenced by this change. For details please refer to attached information package. 

## **Why do we issue this notification?** 

Supply safety for carrier tapes.
