The B260A-13-F from Multicomp Pro is a surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifier diode featuring a metal-silicon junction with majority carrier conduction, optimized for low-voltage high-frequency power conversion applications. Packaged in the JEDEC DO-214AC (SMA) molded plastic case with built-in strain relief, this 2-pin device delivers a 60V repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM), 42V maximum RMS voltage, and 50V DC blocking voltage. The device supports a 2A average forward rectified current with a maximum forward voltage drop of 700mV at rated current, minimizing conduction losses in free-wheeling, polarity protection, and inverter circuits. A peak forward surge current rating of 50A (8.3ms single half-sine-wave) provides robust transient handling, while the integrated guard ring structure offers overvoltage protection.

Engineered for high-efficiency operation, the B260A-13-F exhibits low reverse leakage characteristics with maximum DC reverse current of 0.5mA at 25°C and 20mA at 100°C. Thermal performance is supported by a typical junction-to-lead thermal resistance of 15°C/W when mounted on 14mm × 14mm copper pad areas, enabling reliable operation across an extended junction temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The solder-plated terminals are compatible with high-temperature reflow processes, guaranteed to withstand 250°C for 10 seconds. Supplied in tape and reel packaging with 5,000 units per reel, this Schottky rectifier is suited for automated assembly in switched-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, motor drive freewheeling diodes, and battery charging circuits where fast switching and low forward drop are critical.
