**Subject :** VolTron Male and Female housings - capacity expansion, sustainability, design improvement
**Description of Change :** Valued customer, in order to optimize our production processes, extend capacity and optimize product quality, it was decided to transfer the production of our VolTron product to our TE plant in Suzhou, China.
Since, we are building complete new molds and a new assembly line, we took the chance to implement design improvements at the same time.
The male housing was improved due to taking off some material on the surface which saves resin for a more sustainable production. Sourcing of material directly in China lead to a change of the resin itself on the male housings as well as the cover of the female connector. At the same time we are now able to offer the female housing in orange color to allow a visual difference between the 2 existing codings orange and black .
As a last change we are changing the female parts from being pre assembled into sets of housings and covers in separate bags. This allows us to save a lot of packaging and make the packaging more sustainable as well.
