**Scope:** 

Finder Relays, Inc. is making a running change on production of the _**34 Series relay**_ .  This relay is used in both the _**38**_ and _**39 Series Interface Modules**_ ; also part of the notification and scope. 

Reason - Finder Relays has identified and implemented a new and improved manufacturing process moving away from ultrasonic welding to a modern laser welding technique. This new procedure requires Finder Relays to change the plastics used in construction of the housing, which ultimately changes the housing color. Form, fit, function, and interchangeability remain unchanged. 

_**Old 34 Series**_ – White housing for EMR (electro-mechanical relays) or black housing for SSR (solid state relays) with specifications and number printed on the side of the relay. No identification printed on the top. 

_**New 34 Series**_ – Black housing for both EMR (electro-mechanical relay) and SSR (solid state relay). Printing is located on the side of the relay as well as additional identification now on the top. The improved printing on the top will state Finder; EMR or SSR; and full part number. The EMR relay will also include a translucent back cover. 

**Timing:** 

Change is imminent; this is an active running change.  Be advised that potential exists for mixed colored inventory until conversion complete.
