The Multicomp Pro 1.5KE200A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode constructed in a DO-201AE through-hole package, delivering 1.5 kW peak pulse power dissipation for robust circuit protection against voltage transients. This axial-lead device features a 171 V reverse standoff voltage (VRWM), with breakdown voltage limits of 190 V minimum to 210 V maximum at 1 mA test current, and clamps at a maximum 274 V under peak pulse conditions. The 1.5KE series employs a molded plastic package with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, offering fast response time and low leakage characteristics essential for protecting sensitive semiconductor loads from high-energy transients originating from inductive switching, lightning strikes, or electrostatic discharge events.
